Staff

• Maria Striar (Producing Artistic Director, Founder, Vice Chair of Executive Board) Maria helped found Clubbed Thumb in 1996, and has been on its staff since. Up until 2004 she directed and performed in many of the company’s shows. She still performs upon occasion with other downtown companies. Maria conceived and edited 2007’s Funny, Strange, Provocative: Seven Plays from Clubbed Thumb. She received her B.A. from Brown University and her M.F.A. from the University of California, San Diego.

• Diana Maxine Konopka (Managing Director) began working for Clubbed Thumb in the Fall of 2006. Other credits include productions with Target Margin Theater (Associated Artist), Mile of String, Little Lord, and A Host of People. Diana received her B.A. from the University of Chicago and an M.A. in Performance Studies from New York University. She was a recipient of a 2007-09 TCG New Generations Mentorship grant.
