  • Announcing Summerworks 2018

    Our 23rd Annual Mini-Season of new work will feature: TIN CAT SHOES by Trish Harnetiaux, directed by Knud Adams; WILDER GONE by Angela Hanks; and PLANO by Will Arbery, directed by Taylor Reynolds. Read more and get your festival pass HERE

  • Applications for the 2018/19 Directing Fellowship are now closed

    Thank you to the many directors who applied to next season’s fellowship. We will conduct an interview process over the coming months, and the selected fellows will be announced this summer

  • Congratulations Pam!

    Our dear friend Pam MacKinnon will be the next Artistic Director of the esteemed American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco–a thrilling next step for her and a big win for the West Coast. So, save the date because on Monday April 30th we’re sending her off in style, and honoring her incredible legacy here in New York at the fabulous Etsy Headquarters in DUMBO. There will be some truly special guests in attendance to bid Pam farewell on the next phase of her career. More details coming soon

  • Thank you to everyone who made it out for Winterworks

    Winterworks 2018 was a great success–over the course of five days we squeezed nearly 300 people in to see the work of our Directing Fellows Sarah Hughes, Lily Riopelle and Taylor Reynolds. Thank you to everyone who attended and thank you to the incredible company of over 30 artists who made it happen

  • Cute Activist starts this week!

    We’re associate producing Milo Cramer’s CUTE ACTIVIST at the Bushwick Starr, directed by Morgan Green and featuring a cast of friends–David Greenspan, Deepali Gupta, Annie Henk, Elizabeth Kenny, Ronald Peet, and Madeline Wise. Performances start this week and tickets are scarce! Get yours HERE

  • The 2017 Clubbed Thumb Biennial Commission goes to Angela Hanks and Gabrielle Reisman!

    We received a record number of submissions for this year’s Biennial Commission – thank you to everyone who sent in a proposal! The panel elected to split the prize between Angela and Gabrielle, and to award three finalists–Gracie Gardner, Paul Cameron Hardy and Daniel Glenn–$1,000 and a workshop

  • Two Summerworks plays named TOP TEN
